Stream Yourself

Seems like the big thing for St. Thomas Carnival this year is web streaming.  You can see it here, here and here.  The funny thing about streaming though is that the more people are viewing the stream the slower it gets.  This is related to the amount of bandwidth available and in the Virgin Islands there's never much.

Don't you wish you could do a stream yourself so only a few selected people can watch?  Well with your mobile device you can do just that.  UStream offers mobile streaming applications for a variety of platforms including Android and Apple based products.  Of course you're going to have to watch things like your network usage (if you don't have WiFi or an unlimited data plan) and power, but I think it's a really cool app to have.  Too bad my phone sucks and I'd have to delete a bunch of other stuff just to install this app. :(
